Post Modification

Postby knowsie » Tue Mar 09, 2010 11:13 am

Having had a typo in one of my posts drawn to my attention, I wanted to correct it but I can't find a facility to modify my post anywhere.

Is there a Modify facility and, if so, where is it hidden?

The Forum permissions say that I can edit my own posts and the FAQ refers to the Edit button but I still can't find it!

I think it may be time, or session, limited.
I am now editing the original "test" post.
It published and at the top right hand corner was an "edit" button instead of those other ones.

This is the second "edit" and the delete option is no longer available, unless I was seeing things.

OK. I have now logged out and logged back in again and the edit button is still there.

Thought: It may be linked to IP address? or a Cookie?

I do believe I had the edit time limit set to 120 minutes! Apologies, as this was not a deliberate intention to prevent forum users from editing their posts. I have set this to zero, which disables the time limit.

Please could you test it now knowsie?

cheers
